THURSDAY AUGUST 6 | Live & Local with Eva Danilson and Friends | 7:30PM
- Jan 9
- 2 min read
Live & Local is a free, community-centered music series celebrating the artists who live and create right here at home, with select Thursday evenings hosted by a different local musician bringing their own sound, collaborators, and creative vision to the stage. Each night features a full set from the host followed by an open, collaborative jam—no two nights the same, always free, always local, always live.
This is a pass-the-hat event—please help support and show your appreciation for the featured artist by contributing what you can.
Dinner is available with our kitchen open until 9pm. Reservations are strongly suggested—make yours HERE. We are an intimate 85-seat venue, so every seat is a great seat! While we do our best to accommodate all seating requests, they cannot be guaranteed. For the best experience, we recommend making reservations in even numbers (for example, a party of three may be seated with an additional guest). Doors open half an hour before showtime for those who will not be dining with us.

Eva Danielson is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who lives in Wakefield, Quebec. She began to study and perform music at the wee age of 5 and kept going through university with a BA in music. She's taught, performed, written, and collaborated ever since, and has been an active part of the local music scene for many years.
Eva's songs a come from daydreams, reflection, curiosity, and the confusion of being a new human in an old world, often showcasing vocal harmonies and string arrangements, paired with folk, pop, psych, and country vibes. A former member of folk band Lyrebird, Eva is also often recognized as a fiddle player from her years playing east coast tunes with her band Pickachune. Eva's songwriting is littered with references to favourite books and poems, classical symphonies and choral pieces, inside jokes, and personal mantras. She's currently writing, demoing, and playing with her band Eva and the Loose Knit, and gearing up to record an album.
The evening will begin with a featured 45–60 minute performance showcasing Eva's original folk songs, performed by herself and supported in part by her friend and longtime collaborator Pat Maher. Following the opening set, the night will evolve into a collaborative jam session, where she'll invite a selection of musician friends—both past collaborators and artists she's been eager to share the stage with—to join her. Each guest will lead one or two songs, with her support on vocals, guitar, and violin, creating a unique, community-driven celebration of songwriting, musicianship, and musical connection.
