New Year’s Eve at Motel Chelsea: “Come As You Are NYE” with Dave Bignell & the Five Star Connection. Ring in 2026 at Motel Chelsea with a high-energy, soul-shaking night of music, dinner, dancing, and celebration!
Dinner is available with our kitchen open until 9pm. Reservations are strongly suggested—make yours HERE. We are an intimate 85-seat venue, so every seat is a great seat! While we do our best to accommodate all seating requests, they cannot be guaranteed. For the best experience, we recommend making reservations in even numbers (for example, a party of three may be seated with an additional guest). Doors open half an hour before showtime for those who will not be dining with us.
This year we welcome Dave Bignell & the Five Star Connection—the extra-strength, symphonic version of the beloved Five Star Monday Band from Ottawa’s oldest bar, The Chateau Lafayette. Dave’s core crew—Jake Bryce, Jon Brownlee, and Trevor Lubin—will be joined by two extraordinary local legends, James Stephens & Don Cummings, bringing deep-rooted connections to Ottawa’s vibrant music community. Together they draw from an impressive musical lineage including The Hammerheads, Lucky Ron, The 50 Men, Bumpin’ Binary, Jiig, The Gladsome Gentlemen, Mama Mush, and more.
Expect an unforgettable night of eclectic Soul, Reggae, Rock, and Country spanning the last 70 years, woven together with wildly original originals—music guaranteed to delight dancers, listeners, and even the most discerning freaks among us.
