Motel Chelsea welcomes back 3-time Juno nominee, indie folk singer-songwriter Suzie Ungerleider (formerly Oh Susanna) with special guest Darren Roy Clarke for an evening of heartfelt music and vivid storytelling.

Suzie Ungerleider's latest critically-acclaimed album Among the Evergreens, is a deeply personal journey through time, tracing her path from youthful dreams to the wisdom of experience.

Uncut describes Among the Evergreens as “thoughtful, luminous, expressive” and featured it as Americana Album of the Month for June 2025. Mojo's four-star review glowed that these 10 new songs are “as sweet as folk-Americana comes.” “It’s about being like a tree with all those rings around you, the layers of your life telling you who you are and where you've been,” she says.

Written after moving back to her hometown of Vancouver, imagery of the outdoors, of green valleys and trees shedding their leaves, infuses this new collection which has earned Suzie a Canadian Folk Music Award nomination for English Songwriter of the Year.

Come out and see “one of the most intimate and evocative purveyors of folky Americana...an artist at the top of her game" (Crack Magazine).

Hailing from Warkworth, Ontario, singer-songwriter Darren Roy Clarke will be warming up the evening. Darren's musical storytelling tackles everything from the worry of living up to a spouse’s expectations, to struggles with mental health, and humanity’s penchant for wanderlust. "A wonderful songwriter" - Kevin Drew (Broken Social Scene)
