Classic country songs of heartbreak, devotion, and plain ole hell raising form the playlist of 6-piece country band Deep Fried and Countryfied. Lead vocalist Dan White (The Stents, The Tortfeasors) discovered the work of George Jones, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, Dwight Yoakum, and others at a young age when he moved to Nashville. “In classic country music, there is room to breathe, you can float on a cloud of fiddle, and voices matter,” he says. Vocalist Olivia Herron (MP & the Oldies), guitarist Vince Robert (Heliara, Di-Version, MP & the Oldies), bassist Devon Barrow (Huntley Slim, Tonk and the Honkeys, Meckary Switches), fiddler Nikki B. (London Philharmonic, St. Martin’s in the Fields), and drummer Simon Doyle (Halfcocked & Lonesome, The Hitmakers) round out the talent. So grab your favorite cowboy or cowgirl and come on out to dance, cry, and sing along!
