- 2 min read
Following a sold-out debut, Women in Folk returns on International Women’s Day for a powerful local showcase celebrating the women shaping our folk community—an intimate night of music, storytelling, and collaboration featuring Tina Therrien, Alise Marlane, Chris MacLean, Kate Greenland, Kate Weekes, and Eva Danielson, with $3 from every ticket supporting Voice Found.
Dinner is available with our kitchen open until 9pm. Reservations are strongly suggested—make yours HERE. We are an intimate 85-seat venue, so every seat is a great seat! While we do our best to accommodate all seating requests, they cannot be guaranteed. For the best experience, we recommend making reservations in even numbers (for example, a party of three may be seated with an additional guest). Doors open half an hour before showtime for those who will not be dining with us.

Following a sold-out debut last year, Women in Folk returns on International Women’s Day with an unforgettable evening of music, storytelling, and community—celebrating the incredible women shaping our local folk scene.
This special showcase shines a spotlight on some of our favourite local female powerhouses:Tina Therrien, Alise Marlane, Chris MacLean, Kate Greenland, Kate Weekes, and Eva Danielson.

Throughout the evening, local women in folk will take the stage for intimate sets of two to three songs each, weaving together music and personal stories from their journeys in the industry. Performers will also come together for special collaborative duets, creating unique, one-of-a-kind moments you won’t hear anywhere else.
Women in Folk is more than a concert—it’s a space to listen deeply, connect with the artists behind the music, and celebrate the resilience, creativity, and strength it takes to build a life in music. Set in a warm and welcoming environment, this showcase invites audiences into honest reflections, shared experience, and community connection.
We are also proud to support Voice Found, a charity dedicated to survivors of human trafficking and childhood sexual abuse. Rooted in lived experience, Voice Found provides vital recovery support and works to drive meaningful, survivor-centered change. $3 from every ticket sold will be donated to Voice Found, with additional donations welcomed throughout the evening.
🎟 This event sold out last year—advance tickets are strongly recommended.
Join us as we close our Women in Folk International Women’s Day weekend by celebrating the voices, stories, and songs of the women who make our folk community thrive.
