Join us for a festive Christmas caroling brunch with celebrated performer Gab Desmond, as he brings his Broadway inspired talent and holiday spirit to Motel Chelsea.

This is a Pass the Hat event.

Join us for a festive sing-along, or simply relax and enjoy the music. Treat yourself to a delicious brunch, soak up the holiday spirit, and contribute what you can—every donation helps ensure Gab receives the strong community support he inspires.

Brunch is available with our kitchen open until 2:30. Reservations are strongly suggested—make yours HERE. We are an intimate 85-seat venue, so every seat is a great seat! While we do our best to accommodate all seating requests, they cannot be guaranteed. For the best experience, we recommend making reservations in even numbers (for example, a party of three may be seated with an additional guest). Doors open half an hour before showtime for those who will not be dining with us.

Gab Desmond (a.k.a. Gábor D. Hegedűs) is a Chelsea, Québec–based performer and a graduate of New York City’s American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA). At just 21, he made his Broadway debut in Three Sisters with Roundabout Theatre before touring internationally with FAME and Notre-Dame de Paris. His career highlights also include starring as a lead vocalist in Tokyo DisneySea’s Encore! and performing in Alan Menken’s The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz at Montreal’s Segal Centre.

Ottawa audiences may recognize him from GCTC’s Ordinary Days—which earned him a Prix Rideau Award nomination—as well as his roles as Herr Schultz in Cabaret and, most recently, both the Narrator and the Mysterious Man in Into the Woods with Ovation Productions. Fresh off a tour in Tunisia with Gatineau’s Nouvelle Cadence, Gab continues to share his passion for music and theatre locally and internationally while developing new creative projects close to home.
