Sister Swire is what you get when you conjure Beetlejuice but Sylvia Plath appears. Fantastic pop. With Dartmouth’s Eric Stephen Martin

Swire has arranged and composed original music for the BBC, Avalon Arts and The National Theatre of Scotland. Above all, she is a live stage performer trying to make sense of a film/tv career, and a songwriter attempting to weave theatrics into the Canadian indie music scene. This band is her scheme to thread the needle. Her new album was produced by the legendary Joel Plaskett – it’s a dauntless, exhilarating & witty rock record with moral force and at its core, the record was a way for Swire to process their recovery from addiction, and experience as a neurodivergent artist.

Eric Stephen Martin is a Singer-Songwriter and visual artist from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Having worked closely with the likes of Joel Plaskett and Mo Kenney, Eric has become one of Nova Scotia's most sought after acts.

Tickets $20 (plus taxes & fees = $22.63)

Live music like Sister Swire’s shows can be such a powerful way to connect and find joy, especially when life feels overwhelming. Moments like these remind me that healing from addiction isn’t just about treatment—it’s also about rediscovering passion and community. If you or someone you know is struggling, support is available here through the Cambridge rehab centre at the Canadian Centre for Addiction. It’s encouraging to know that beyond the challenges, there’s always a space to rebuild and find new purpose. Music and connection can be part of that journey toward hope and recovery.
