Dinner is available with our kitchen open until 9pm. Reservations are strongly suggested—make yours HERE. We are an intimate 85-seat venue, so every seat is a great seat! While we do our best to accommodate all seating requests, they cannot be guaranteed. For the best experience, we recommend making reservations in even numbers (for example, a party of three may be seated with an additional guest). Doors open half an hour before showtime for those who will not be dining with us.
“What is it to look back on a life?” is the opening line of THIS IS ANNE ~ Older & Wiser ~ . Anne Shirley Blythe, now in her later years, reflects on her past - the difficult moments and those of humour and joy.
Created and performed by Maja Bannerman, with accompanying music by Rusty McCarthy, this show is based on L. M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables book series. It’s been called, “Fiery, passionate, poignant!”
Then RUSTY & MAJA’s Kitchen Party Cabaret hits the stage! Packed with original and popular classic rock songs, props and costume bits, audiences proclaim “Joy jumps off the stage!”
RUSTY & MAJA
Friends since their teen years, Rusty and Maja have collaborated on various music and performance projects since the late 1970s. As a duo, their shows are performance driven and blend a variety of musical styles, spoken word, creative movement and a dash of audience participation.
During the summer of 2018, the winds shifted and something called love made its way into their hearts and as “Junior Seniors”, their friendship deepened and a new era for this creative team was born!
In October 2022 they released their first album as a duo: RUSTY & MAJA ~ Part Kitchen Party ~ Part Cabaret, a musical merry go round of both original and classic pop songs delivered with delight and attitude! Their upcoming album, TWO BY TWO, will be a double album, again featuring both original and classic popular songs.
Since 2023 they have been touring THIS IS ANNE ~ Older & Wiser ~, twice to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island as well as northern Ontario and throughout the Niagara region. Based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables book series, this performance features Anne, in her later years, looking back on her life.
This spring and summer finds Rusty releasing a new album of original jazz compositions as Maja compiles her writings for publication of a new collection of poems and performance pieces.
