As part of our Women in Folk International Women’s Day weekend, we are thrilled to present a powerful co-bill performance featuring Jessica Pearson & The East Wind alongside Ambre McLean—two acts known for their emotional depth, fearless storytelling, and unforgettable live performances.
Women in Folk is a three-night celebration honoring women’s voices, leadership, and resilience in music. As a women-owned business, uplifting women in the industry is central to who we are, and Saturday night continues this commitment with an evening rooted in connection, courage, and shared experience.
Jessica Pearson & The East Wind invite audiences into a timeless folkloric sound world shaped by three-part harmonies, roots instrumentation, and deeply intentional songwriting. Their performances are immersive and emotionally resonant—moving from intimate reflection to moments of joy, community, and collective strength. Through stories of resilience, matriarchal power, and becoming, the trio creates a space where listeners feel both seen and welcomed.
Ambre McLean brings a genre-defying approach to songwriting and performance, using her voice, instruments, and loop pedal to craft lush soundscapes and deeply personal moments. A beloved presence in Canadian folk and indie music for over 20 years, Ambre is known for live shows that are inventive, intimate, and emotionally expansive—performances that invite listeners to feel, reflect, and connect.
Together, Jessica Pearson & The East Wind and Ambre McLean offer a compelling and deeply moving night within our Women in Folk celebration—an evening that honours vulnerability, creativity, and the transformative power of women’s voices in music.
We are also proud to support Voice Found, a charity dedicated to survivors of human trafficking and childhood sexual abuse. Rooted in lived experience, Voice Found provides vital recovery support and works to drive meaningful, survivor-centered change. $3 from every ticket sold will be donated to Voice Found, with additional donations welcomed throughout the evening.
