“Pat Moore sings a country song like it should be sung...” Alan Wigney, CKCU, Ottawa Sun
Pat Moore’s voice has a warm and expressive quality, as perfectly suited to a rich ballad, as it is to an up-tempo power song. She moves easily from the storytelling of the singer/songwriter genre, to the lonesome sound of traditional country and bluegrass. Pat is well known in the Ottawa and surrounding area as a singer songwriter who gives moving performances, and also is the producer of the Annual Christmas GOOSE concerts now in their 23rd year of sold out performances. She has been running bluegrass events with her daughter (Kate Greenland) for over a decade. In addition to her singer/songwriter and country band, The Vinyl Frontier, Pat performs in bluegrass bands Maple Hill and The Monroe Sisters, and a swing trio, Moore, Doucet, & Baker.
Pat Moore is joined by her long-time musical partner Pat McLaughlin on guitar, who is the cornerstone of her country band Pat Moore & The Vinyl Frontier. McLaughlin grew up in the beautiful countryside of the Gatineau valley, in Venosta, and still has close ties to the area where the farm is still in the family. His guitar playing is masterful!
Their recordings have received praise from far and wide - Holland, Italy, Australia, the U.S. and across Canada, for her captivating storytelling, her warm strong voice, and the musicianship of the people she surrounds herself with. The live show is always fun!
