Recorded live off the floor in Toronto, Canada the album features Canadian jazz heavyweights. GRAMMY-nominated and Juno Award-winning alto saxophonist Luis Deniz, Juno Award-winning pianist, composer and producer Jeremy Ledbetter and Grammy, Latin Grammy and Juno-nominated drummer and producer Marito Marques. The mixing and mastering was handled by Helik Hadar who has won 2 GRAMMY Awards and is nominated 4 times for best engineered album (Herbie Hancock, Joni Mitchell, Mike Stern).
Montreal-born electric bassist / composer Marc Decho has established himself as an incredibly versatile and creative artist on the Canadian music scene. Marc appears on a plethora of recordings ranging from Jazz, Latin Jazz, Funk, Fusion and beyond. Decho has maintained an impressive career as a sideman and bassist for over a decade, having performed and recorded among the likes of Jane Bunnett, Rachel Therrien, Okan, George Crotty, Petr Cancura, Sarah Thawer, Danae Olano, Rafael Zaldivar, Luc Beaugrand (UZEB) and Gabriel Palatchi to name a few. Marc is also a longstanding member of the legendary Cuban pianist/composer Miguel De Armas and his Latin Jazz Quartet & Orchestra. In March of 2023 Marc released his debut album AAAAUM under the guise of the Marc Decho Quartet which features Canadian jazz heavyweights.
