Dinner is available with our kitchen open until 9pm. Reservations are strongly suggested—make yours HERE. We are an intimate 85-seat venue, so every seat is a great seat! While we do our best to accommodate all seating requests, they cannot be guaranteed. For the best experience, we recommend making reservations in even numbers (for example, a party of three may be seated with an additional guest). Doors open half an hour before showtime for those who will not be dining with us.

Join us in a pleasant experience of soulful gritty jazz as we explore some of the classics of the early to mid era, focusing on traditional jazz ballads, beautiful standards and of course a few groovy tunes.
The quartet is a mix of local musicians from La Peche featuring Carsten Podehl on tenor sax, Rod Fotheringham on keys, Brian Mullin on bass and Andre Ferraton on drums.
The Carsten Podehl Quartet group is a partial reincarnation from almost a decade ago when I first played a few jazz gigs. Since then, I have been gratefully occupied with playing and managing Waked Up, my nine piece funk/northern soul/groove dance band that has been fortunate enough to grace the many stages of Wakefield and the surrounding area. Over the last coupe years I’ve been missing some of the jazz moments so I felt it was time to get back on the tenor and get back to enjoying some time performing ballads and classics.
The great honour for me is to be playing with such a strong rhythm section that is joining me in this adventure. Rod, Brian and Andre each represent go to musicians for multiple decades and in multiple genres and disciplines. Not only will they set a beautiful mood, their tasteful and masterful abilities will lay the foundation for me to freely explore some soulful expressions on the tenor saxophone.
Hope to see you at the show!
Carsten Podehl
